The Backstreet Boys are Back! Boy Band Announces Reunion Concert & Album…details & video inside

It’s the resurgence of the 90′s band…… and we love it..! First No Doubt, and now The Backstreet Boy’s… One week after Backstreet Boys band member Howie D hinted about a possible reunion, the boys made it official Tuesday morning on “Good Morning America.” The boys will performance together for the first time since Kevin Richardson announced he would be returning to the group.

“We’re going to be coming to perform for you guys on August 31,” A.J. McLean revealed Tuesday. ”The first time together, all five of us.”

The band appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” from London where they are currently recording a brand new album. It’s the first time since 2005 that all members of the band are recording new music together. The new album is expected to be released in the spring, just in time for the group’s 20th anniversary.

The concert will mark the first time the band has officially reunited together since 2006 and will be part of the “GMA” 2012 Summer Concert Series in Central Park.

McLean appeared alongside fellow band members Richardson, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell from the London studio where the quintet revealed they’ve been recording their new album.

“We wake up. We have breakfast together. We’re not sick of each other at all,” said Carter. “It’s awesome. It really is. The vibe is fantastic.”

“It’s our first time in the studio together, all five of us, since 2005,” Dorough said. “We’re recording our brand new record right here in London.

Now the five, who have seen their share of marriage, health and addiction issues among them in the nearly two decades since their debut, are living together as they work on their new album.

We’re looking forward to BSB retaking the stage and reminding their legions of fans why they pretty much ruled the top of the charts back in the 90′s…. Are you excited about seeing BSB performing and their new upcoming album?
